The common (not so boring) frog

Gardening admist the fragrant tapestry of lavender, a common frog jumped right under.
Common in name and number, but not in awe and wonder.
360 million years on Earth, it can breathe through lungs and skin.
With porous epidermis, oxygen diffuses in.
Ranging in colour – from greys and greens, to yellows and brown.
Keep an eye out for it when Spring comes to town.

Bees on a Passionfruit Flower

If the idea of W4 becoming a tropical paradise doesn’t appeal to you, then maybe the maybe it appeals to the bees! These crawlies, bring the already beautiful plant life into a whole other dimension, reminding us of the importance of looking after our furry yellow friends.

Passionfruit Flower and Bees

A tropical treat, hanging from a brick wall – something you would never expect to find growing outside of South American paradise, let alone in London W4! Buzzing with bees and all sorts of critters, these vines were found flowering near St Nick’s church, at the edge of Chiswick mall.
