Sleeping Fox

I looked through my kitchen window to see this fox asleep in the middle of the day in our communal garden, this was very rare to see so I quickly grabbed the phone and took this picture!

Ducklings’ school run

A family of ducks out and about for a little evening swim. Never seen so many tiny ducklings together as part of one same family, and seeing how they were all trying to catch up with mum and dad was so cute.

The calm on a summer evening walk

After yet another rainy summer day, I went on a little walk to get that fresh and crisp after-rain air to my local Chiswick house and gardens. I suddenly spotted this beautiful couple of white swans, enjoying their dinner at the little lake. The sun was starting to set and the light was low beneath the trees, so the bright white of the swans in contrast with the dark water and nature around them made it a really beautiful and peaceful scene. I observed them for a while and loved the calm around them.

Refugee

This beautiful Tiger Jersey moth stood out to me in its bittersweet connotations. Sweet, as it is a symbol of resilience and change because it is a non-native moth that has naturally become part of the English ecosystem. Bitter, as it is a clear signifier of global temperatures rising and population displacement. I also felt that the shadow shrouding the moth emphasised well the rapidly declining insect population over the past few decades, and how crucial it is take action for these amazing creatures. Memories of a person

A memory of a very special man in my life, my father. He’s natural sense of smell, colour and beauty for nature was beyond what I could’ve understood while growing up, it’s only now that I can appreciate the special gift he held for nature and it’s gorgeous aromas that I now certainly possess!

Colour purple, no competition, just unique

I’ve been walking on Strand on the Green since I was a child and each time I experience new things, be it the tide coming in or going out while watching the wildlife on the river. Recently, I’ve been intrigued by the flowers within this environment, the rhythm, shape and the form they take within their own right! Here there was no competition
