Memories of a person

A memory of a very special man in my life, my father. He’s natural sense of smell, colour and beauty for nature was beyond what I could’ve understood while growing up, it’s only now that I can appreciate the special gift he held for nature and it’s gorgeous aromas that I now certainly possess!

Colour purple, no competition, just unique

I’ve been walking on Strand on the Green since I was a child and each time I experience new things, be it the tide coming in or going out while watching the wildlife on the river. Recently, I’ve been intrigued by the flowers within this environment, the rhythm, shape and the form they take within their own right! Here there was no competition

Lilyana

Tender is the night and her beauty gives out the scent of 100 roses. The pink and purple cotton candy-esque skies dye the atmosphere and mesmerize. The depth of field has changed – the eyes have already blurred out the surroundings and the iris has its focus on you – a reminiscence of our first kiss.

Nature’s Window

I like the way that the hedging beautifully frames the willow and the river. My favourite tree so beautiful and sad at same time. (Credit – Paola Zekkou)

Crimson Beauty

Beautiful crimson red against the green.  Where nature and human come together in balance and harmony.

Pokers in the Sky

I loved the way that the plants reach up into the sky with the church spire in the background.

A Flower on the Fence

I took this photo when I had just moved to London from California. I enjoy walking, and lived by a lake before I moved here, so I was pleased to discover the Thames Path in Chiswick. I noticed a lone flower sitting on a fence on one of my walks, and the juxtaposition between nature and a man-made object caught my eye and I snapped this photo. Reflecting on the photo made me appreciate the lush nature within Chiswick, and the serenity of the town is always a breath of fresh air after a day out in central London.

Dragon Lilly

‘The amazing bloom from our Dragon Lily plant (Dracuncular Vulgaris).
The velvety petal was 22 inches long. Sadly its beauty is rather spoilt by an accompanying smell of decaying flesh, as its aim is to attract bluebottles for pollination

Sunrise

I Love nature and I always take pictures every time I take my dog for a walk. I especially Love the sunrise, sunset and the moon. That morning looked so beautiful I had to picture. The way sun made the trees look like a frame for that picturesque view.
