Time to Reflect

i was walking my dog in chiswick house when i saw a heron sitting by the water. i guess i just admired how patient and calm it was, just sitting and watching all the ducks swim by and the pigeons fly about frantically above the water, while it just stayed there, almost looking as though he was reflecting about the day that had just been. so i took a photo!  (Credit – Amelia Atkinson)

Preening Heron

This picture shows one of Chiswick Houses’s resident herons. In is not uncommon to see these birds around the area, standing dead still fas they await for a passing snack, but it’s unusual to see them looking imperfect. (Credit – Luca Wiseman)

A hope of life

I took this picture because I care for insects because I have many in my care, and it shows you how beautiful nature can be when close up.

Blue dragonfly on flower

While looking for birds to photograph at Chiswick House and Gardens, I spotted some blue dragonflies drinking the nectar from a flowering bush. They moved around very quickly but I was lucky enough to catch one staying still, allowing me to take this closeup photo. Bees often get the spotlight for their importance for pollinating flowers, but insects like these are very important to the process as well!

Bonding

I was walking in Chiswick Park and then I noticed something unusual, which was that there were two huge snails stuck together. Everyone knows snails are usually tiny and unsocial, and this was the exact opposite so I decided to take a photo of it.
